Qualifications

• Six (6) months of general experience.
• Six (6) months of specialized experience performing technical medical laboratory support work.
• Associates degree with second-year training in a certified laboratory program or related coursework.
• One year of study with chemistry/biological sciences plus a related lab training program.
• Two years of study with chemistry/biological sciences related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, and blood banking.
• Evaluate test results and troubleshoot procedures to ensure accuracy.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Collect and process patient specimens, assess specimen acceptability, and track in LIS.
• Validate and document laboratory results and communicate with healthcare providers.
