Qualifications

• GS-4: Six months general experience and six months specialized experience.
• GS-5: One year specialized experience or a bachelor's degree or a combination thereof.
• GS-6: One year specialized experience in clinical lab work and related education.
• GS-7: Specialized experience comparable to GS-6 or graduate education related to the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, and blood banking.
• Evaluate test results, recognize abnormal findings, and troubleshoot or repeat procedures.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain laboratory instruments, prepare reagents, stains, and culture media, monitor quality control.
• Collect and process patient specimens, accession and track specimens in laboratory systems, prepare specimens for referral testing.
• Support quality and compliance, document results, and ensure CAP/CLIA safety requirements.
