Stormont Vail Health is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support clinical and anatomic pathology testing. The role involves reviewing orders, receiving and processing specimens, and assisting with various lab operations in a high-demand environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and a preference for 1 year of phlebotomy or lab experience. The position emphasizes OSHA safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a 40-hour second shift setting.

Formación

• Ability to read and understand instructions.

• Knowledge of laboratory operations and procedures preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Review and verify healthcare provider orders for tests.
• Receive specimens in the electronic health record and identify patients.
• Process specimens per protocol including centrifugation and storage.
• Distribute specimens to testing personnel.
• Support internal and external customers with test orders.
• Perform and report results on waived test systems.
• Monitor supplies and maintain benches and equipment.
