Stormont Vail HealthCare, Inc. is seeking a part-time laboratory support professional to assist clinical and anatomic pathology testing.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of phlebotomy or laboratory experience, with attention to safety and accuracy. The position supports the laboratory team in processing specimens, verifying orders, and communicating specimen information to providers and patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year laboratory or phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and policies.

Responsabilités

• Review, clarify and verify healthcare provider orders for laboratory tests.
• Order tests and receive specimens in the electronic health record.
• Follow protocols for patient and specimen identification.
• Understand specimen collection basics and factors affecting results.
• Communicate specimen collection information to providers and patients as needed.
• Ensure specimen integrity and acceptability for testing.
• Process specimens per protocols (centrifugation, aliquoting, storage, transport, handling).
• Support testing in assigned departments and assist with training of new team members as directed.
