Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform and interpret complex tests across chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic assays, supporting diagnosis and treatment.

You will follow established protocols, supervise in interpreting results, and ensure quality control, equipment maintenance, and documentation, while contributing to patient care within our Per Diem, mixed shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Three years of related clinical laboratory experience.
• ASCP MT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols to perform various tests, including complex ones, for an assigned area.
• Interprets and correlates test results with patient history, diagnosis, and clinical condition.
• Troubleshoots testing process discrepancies.
• Assists in development of new tests and quality procedures.
• Maintains accurate records of tests performed using computer systems.
