Job summary

UMass Memorial Health seeks a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine and complex lab tests across departments. This role requires meticulous specimen handling, accurate data reporting, and adherence to CLIA standards.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s in a laboratory science and ASCP certification is preferred, with at least one year of clinical lab experience. This is a full‑time on‑site position in Massachusetts with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• MT (ASCP) certification preferred.
• Minimum one year clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex lab tests across departments per CLIA definitions.
• Assess specimen acceptability and maintain specimen integrity.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment with proper calibration and QC.
