Job summary

TriCore, New Mexico’s largest laboratory, seeks technicians to perform waived, moderate, or high complexity tests to aid patient care. You will maintain equipment, run quality controls, and document results under supervision in a collaborative setting.

Positions include shift work with a structured on-site schedule. A CLIA-regulated environment requires appropriate degrees; on-the-job training and education assistance are available as part of TriCore’s commitment to staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical science per CLIA qualifications.
• Alternative: Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical lab tech.
• Equivalency including required chemistry and biology coursework may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, or high complexity lab tests under supervision.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and QC testing.
• Document test results and notify supervisor of abnormal findings.
• Assist with QA, regulatory inspections, and supply ordering.

Education

Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical sciences

Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

Education/training equivalent to an associate degree in laboratory science
