Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological, or chemical science from an accredited institution; or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• Education and training equivalent to an associate degree including required science coursework.
• No experience required for Laboratory Scientist I; experience needed for higher levels per CLIA.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate or high complexity lab tests.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and QC procedures.
• Document testing results and notify supervisor of abnormal findings.
• Assist with QA data collection and trend monitoring.
• Support training of staff and coordination with stakeholders.
• Participate in POCT oversight and regulatory inspections.
