CHRISTUS Health in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician II to perform complex clinical testing across multiple sections, including Blood Bank and Microbiology. The role includes quality control, proficiency testing, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

The candidate will collect specimens, prepare and process tests, and report results within required timeframes. This position offers multiple shifts and per diem as needed, supporting patient care across the hospital

Qualificações

• Associate degree or higher in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology as per CLIA 42CFR493.1489.
• 60 semester hours with science coursework and chemistry/biology requirements, or equivalent.
• Laboratory training from ABHES/NAACLS-accredited program or equivalent, or 3+ months in each high-complexity specialty.

Responsabilidades

• Meets OneCHRISTUS leadership competencies.
• Collects and processes specimens via venipuncture or fingerstick, labels accurately.
• Reports results and manages testing across Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Blood Bank sections.
• Performs QC and maintains equipment per CLIA, CAP, AABB, JCAHO guidelines.
• Maintains safety, infection control, and hazardous materials protocols.
• Assists training of new staff and students in laboratory practices.
• Operates LIS/HIS systems for reporting and charging laboratory results.
• Completes annual competency assessments.

Formação académica

Associate degree or higher in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

60 semester hours with required science courses including chemistry/biology

ABHES/NAACLS-accredited clinical laboratory training or equivalent
