CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I (PRN/Per Diem) in Texas. The role involves routine lab procedures, specimen processing, testing, result reporting, quality control, instrument maintenance, and participation in new procedures development.

Phlebotomy may be performed as needed. Requirements include a Bachelor’s or higher in a clinical laboratory science field, eligibility or certification (MT/MLS/CLS/MLT) within 1 year of hire, and licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Education evaluated by credentialing agency and deemed equivalent to US Bachelor’s degree in the stated field.
• Meets the educational requirements of a Medical Laboratory Technician II (MLT-II).

Responsabilités

• Performs routine laboratory procedures and reports results.
• Operates, maintains and troubleshoots instrumentation and equipment; notifies Bio-med when needed.
• Cross-trains to other laboratory sections as needed.
• Ensures adherence to the laboratory’s quality control program.
