Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a Lab Supervisor to oversee day-to-day laboratory operations across assigned areas. The role ensures staffing coverage, coordinates reference laboratory workflow, and maintains compliance with SOPs and policy updates.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field and at least four years of relevant lab experience, with state licensure as applicable. Shift coverage and cross-campus supervision are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Cytotechnology, Histotechnology or related field.
• Four years of experience as a Medical Technologist, MLT, Histotechnologist or Cytotechnologist.
• Current state licensure as required by WV, PA, OH, or MD.

Responsibilities

• Assist managers in supervising all lab areas to ensure appropriate staffing.
• Coordinate reference lab specimen handling and timely reporting.
• Oversee LIS coordination and downtime procedures with technical staff.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures and policies.
• Ensure safety, quality control and compliance with hospital policies.
• Communicate with Medical Directors and managers on technical issues and training.
• Organize workload and resources to optimize patient care and efficiency.
