Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reviews, clarifies and verifies healthcare provider orders for laboratory tests and manages specimen intake in the EHR.
• Communicates specimen collection requirements to providers and patients as needed.
• Prepares, labels, processes and stores specimens per protocol including centrifugation and transport.
• Distributes specimens and prepared slides to testing personnel.
• Supports internal and external customers with test orders and specimen requirements.
• Performs and reports results on waived test systems.
