Job summary

TriCore is New Mexico’s largest laboratory. TriCore currently seeks a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist for the NM Cancer Center, with the possibility of paid apprenticeship for those without experience. The role requires independent work and adherence to schedules across modalities, with on-site presence essential.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 0900–1730, holidays and other shifts as needed. Location: NM Cancer Center.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a relevant Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain supplies and inventory needed for departmental functions.
• On-call responsibilities may be required by location.
• Assist with clerical duties and document critical communications as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and ensure accuracy in patient/test data.
