Job summary

TriCore is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant - Phlebotomist at the Espanola Draw Site. This hourly role requires independent work and proficiency across multiple modalities, with compensation tied to modality workload.

Minimum education is a high school diploma; ASCP PBT certification or completion of a clinical lab program is preferred. Flexibility for weekends, on-call duties, and varying shifts is expected, with comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Completion of a Clinical Lab Assistant or comparable program.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintains supplies and inventory necessary to perform departmental functions.
• Observe students and/or new staff as needed.
• Exhibits basic problem solving skills to ensure exceptional customer and patient care service levels.
• Responsible for hospital communication responsibilities including on-call duties by location.
• Demonstrates effective telephone and verbal communication skills.
• Performs clerical functions and documents critical communication as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of personal and confidential information.
• Participates in on-call coverage and weekend/holiday shifts as required.
