Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a regulatory compliance and health informatics expert to guide meaningful use and other regulatory initiatives across the system. The role supports CMIO and system leaders in creating comprehensive implementation strategies for quality and regulatory compliance, including budgeting, timelines, and attestations.

The position requires deep knowledge of federal, state and local regulations, as well as the ability to coordinate multi-site efforts, ensure vendor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare/informatics or related field.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and delivery.
• Budgeting, forecasting and budget management.
• Strong knowledge of major clinical information systems.
• Experience with clinical workflow and care processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME on meaningful use, Joint Commission and CMS Core Measures requirements.
• Coordinate implementation strategies; prioritize overlapping initiatives and budgeting.
• Ensure EHR vendors meet reporting/attestation certifications on time.
• Keep leadership informed of progress and elevate issues needing action.
• Collaborate with Health Informatics, Clinical Operations and Quality to adopt changes in processes and reporting.
• Work with IT to embed regulatory elements into health information systems.
