Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks a Director of Clinical Informatics to lead a team responsible for standardized clinical content across ordering, documentation, and CDS. You will coordinate testing and implementation of evidence-based solutions, optimize CIS, and advance quality and patient safety initiatives.

The role requires strong leadership, Epic knowledge, and the ability to drive change across complex care settings, with travel and occasional after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, informatics, CS, MIS, business or related field.
• ITIL knowledge and process improvement experience preferred.
• Experience with CIS governance, budgeting and large-scale EMR projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of informatics professionals across CIS content, CDS and reporting.
• Oversee governance processes and ensure cross-discipline integration.
• Analyze systems, design workflows and optimize health information processes.
• Manage multiple projects, resource planning, and associate performance.
• Partner with CHRISTUS units to meet strategic quality and safety goals.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and mentor staff.
• Travel may be required; support after-hours work during implementations.
