Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Director of Clinical Informatics to lead a team of informatics professionals. You will oversee governance for clinical content, including ordering, documentation, and decision support, and drive optimization of health information systems to improve quality and efficiency.

The role requires strategic leadership across multiple sites, expert knowledge of major CIS, and strong collaboration with clinical and IT teams to implement evidence-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Informatics, Computer Science, MIS, business or related field required.
• Master's degree preferred; ITIL knowledge appreciated.
• Experience with major CIS and ITIL processes; budgeting skills for multi-million-dollar budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Clinical Informatics managers and associates; oversee daily operations.
• Provide governance for health informatics committees and ensure integration across care disciplines.
• Oversee analysis and optimization of health information systems and workflows.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and staffing alignment.
• Lead strategic initiatives with CHRISTUS business units to meet quality and efficiency goals.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders; supervise and mentor staff.
• Oversee budgeting, timekeeping, and staff development; enforce policies.
• Coordinate testing and implementation of new or enhanced clinical content and technology.
