Job summary

Northwell Health seeks a healthcare informatics professional to support clinical information systems used by health system clinicians. You will assess workflows, design enhancements, and implement optimizations to improve patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with management and clinical staff, documentation of processes, and post-implementation monitoring to ensure adoption and success across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, Allied Health, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or other healthcare discipline in New York State required.
• Minimum of 3 years healthcare related clinical experience required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant healthcare informatics experience, required.
• Master's degree in Health Informatics highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with management and clinicians in designing, implementing and maintaining clinical systems.
• Documents current processes to establish a baseline for developmental improvements of future workflows.
• Acts as a liaison and represents the system users/customers in all project initiatives.
• Participates in interdisciplinary and process improvement teams to identify potential uses of the information systems and potential optimization of current use of systems.
• Supports data analytics, including quality of care measures, to improve population health outcomes and global health.
