Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland, OH seeks a clinical informatics expert to optimize workflows and documentation for assigned clinical areas. You will evaluate workflows, design technical solutions, and promote Meaningful Use while collaborating with clinical and IT teams.

You will ensure HIPAA compliance, support system adoption, and align projects with organizational mission and patient-centered care. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential to translate practice standards

Qualifications

• BSN or related degree from an accredited institution.
• 3 years of clinical and/or operational experience.
• 2 years of experience with clinical computer systems.
• Knowledge of clinical best practices, operations, policies, procedures, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to translate workflows and practice standards into an electronic environment.
• Ability to collaborate with project and/or interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
• Access to reliable transportation to travel to different sites within The MetroHealth System.
• Ability to work in assigned area(s) and any other location based on operational or training needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the clinical informatics expert regarding workflows and documentation requirements for assigned clinical area(s).
• Evaluates clinical workflows/processes, and designs technical solutions to optimize system usability, address regulatory requirements, and promote Meaningful Use.
• Serves as a liaison between clinical and technical disciplines.
• Supports system adoption efforts.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to enhance existing clinical systems, and/or implement new clinical systems.
• Adheres to all HIPAA regulations.
• Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
