Foundation Medicine in Morrisville, NC is seeking an Analyst I, Clinical Bioinformatics to analyze and deliver next-generation sequencing data in a high-complexity clinical diagnostic laboratory for clinicians, pharma partners, and academic collaborators.

You will review variant calls, provide test results per SOPs, and collaborate on tool requirements while ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance. Weekend or off-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases.
• Experience with CLIA‑certified clinical diagnostics laboratory.
• Ability to work weekends or off-hours.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient data privacy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop annotated genomic profiles of somatic aberrations from NGS data in cancer samples.
• Review genomic variant calls using IGV and other tools in collaboration with the scientific team.
• Provide test results according to SOPs with defined turnaround times.
• Collaborate with technical teams to specify requirements for tools to improve workflow.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Comply with FMI's attendance policies.
