Job summary

Foundation Medicine, Inc. is seeking a Medical Reporting Curator within the Genomics Analysis & Reporting (GAR) team to perform dry-lab analysis and interpretation of next generation sequencing data in a high-complexity clinical diagnostic lab.

In this role, you will contribute to the collection and presentation of quality metrics to support personalized diagnostic reports for each patient. You will prepare concise reports, review genomic variant calls, and collaborate with FMI scientists to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry or closely related field with 4+ years of relevant work experience; OR Master's degree and 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Strong ability to perform under deadline pressure and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Superior verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

Apply scientific knowledge to improve FMI's oncology knowledgebase.
Collaborate with FMI scientists to review and refine medical content.
Organize and revise report information for patients and physicians.
Retrieve database content to prepare patient test reports.
Review genomic variant calls using IGV and other tools with the scientific team.
Provide test results in accordance with SOPs within defined turn-around times.
