Job summary

Foundation Medicine is seeking a Molecular Technologist I to support complex patient sample testing. The role involves preparing reagents, maintaining equipment, and handling specimens across shifts onsite at FMI locations.

You will work under supervision to execute SOPs, ensure GDP, and contribute to quality improvements within a regulated CLIA/CAP environment. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a life science and 1+ years in molecular lab work, with familiarity in LIMS and sequencing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or life science.
• 1+ years of molecular laboratory work in CAP/CLIA regulated lab.
• Certifications/licensure required by the posting state/county.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the NGS library and process patient samples.
• Follow SOPs and GDP; maintain accurate records.
• Operate and maintain lab instruments and automated platforms.
• Document test results and ensure quality turnaround time.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate on SOP revisions and CAPA reporting.
