Qualifications

• Current Illinois RN license.
• Certification in area of clinical specialty.
• BSN with a minimum of two years related clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and participates in unit-specific orientation with NM Academy and leadership.
• Integrates theory and evidence-based practice into nursing education.
• Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates formal and informal staff education, including off-shifts and weekends.
• Creates and evaluates annual unit-specific clinical skills validation and competency.
• Coordinates mandatory education activities across shifts and weekends.
• Partners with unit leadership to develop educational plans for staff.
• Maintains practice standards for clinical settings.
• Supports ongoing development of critical thinking in nurses.
• Provides direct patient care as needed and instructors new hires.
