Northwestern Medicine seeks an EMS Educator to reflect the organization's mission, ethics, and compliance standards. The role develops orientation, continuing education, and assessment services for clinical staff.

The position collaborates with managers to assess learning needs, designs and delivers curricula on clinical competencies and regulatory requirements, and serves as a mentor in program development and professional growth. A strong background in critical care and teaching is required.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing or Paramedic program.
• Current RN licensure or EMT-P license.
• Five years of critical care experience and one year of teaching experience.
• Two years in course coordination.
• CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)
• CPR-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• CPR-Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• IDPH Lead Instructor within one year of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborates with managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
• Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.
• Serves as a consultant/mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
• Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation and education activities.
