Qualifications

• BSN required for this role.
• MS in Nursing or progress toward within four years.
• RN license in Illinois.
• Certification in related clinical area or eligibility to obtain.
• 3–5 years of experience in the relevant clinical specialty.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements education opportunities for staff based on assessments, departmental and system goals.
• Supports staff to seek/maintain specialty certification including monitoring progress and completion.
• Reviews unit/division dashboard for quality and practice opportunities; acts with key stakeholders.
• Monitors quality data with leadership and develops action plans as needed.
• Leads inter-professional teams for unit and hospital-wide process improvement.
• Plans, evaluates division safety learning activities and updates policies.
• Participates in staff evaluations related to clinical competence and rounds for coaching.
• Participates in unit leadership meetings and cross-unit committees.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Master's in Science in Nursing or to obtain within 4 years

Registered Nursing license issued by the State of Illinois

Certified in related clinical area or to obtain when eligible

3-5 years’ experience in specific clinical area

BLS through American Heart Association
