Job summary

UVA Community Health is seeking a Clinical Professional Development Practitioner to lead education for nursing staff across our community health locations. The RN will design, implement, and evaluate programs that promote competency and professional growth, aligning with UVA Health standards.

The role requires a BSN, a Master's degree within 3 years of hire, and at least three years of nursing practice with two years in specialty education.

Qualifications

BSN required with current Virginia licensure.
Master's degree in nursing, education, or related field within 3 years of hire.
Minimum of three years of nursing practice.
Minimum of two years in specialty area or clinical education.
Certifications: BLS; ACLS or PALS; instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops, coordinates, and implements educational activities to promote staff development.
Designs, implements, and evaluates educational programs.
Serves as learning facilitator, mentor, and change agent for practice improvements.
Collaborates with nursing leaders to identify knowledge gaps and learning needs.
Supports onboarding and orientation programs and specialty education initiatives.
