Job summary

Memorial Health System in Ohio is seeking an Education Coordinator to lead education services for the assigned department, focusing on staff development, competency validation, and adherence to MHS Standards of Excellence.

You will assess learning needs, develop and deliver programs on equipment and new procedures, and support orientation, preceptors, and record keeping in collaboration with Education Specialists and leadership.

Qualifications

• Clinical education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, develops, and coordinates education for staff on equipment, new procedures and identified educational needs using a variety of instructional methods and engaging activities.
• Responsible in conjunction with the Education Specialists for new employee orientation classes.
• Responsible in conjunction with Education Specialists for development and preparation of validation of skills and competence.
• Responsible in conjunction with the Education Specialist for initial and ongoing education of a preceptor program and ongoing support of preceptors.
• Works cooperatively with Education Specialists and as a consultant to leaders to ensure consistency and efficiency of educational system, including record keeping, assigning classes, skill assessment, and education course development, including identification & inclusion of specialist for contact hours.
• Teach course(s) in their specialty and/or AHA course(s). Maintain standards for AHA and certifications.
