Job summary

Memorial Health System in Marietta, OH is seeking an Education Coordinator to oversee education services for the assigned department/unit. You will develop, coordinate, and deliver staff education on equipment, procedures, and competencies, and support onboarding and preceptor programs.

In this full-time role you will work with Education Specialists and leaders to maintain documentation, schedule classes, ensure AHA standards, and provide feedback.

Qualifications

• BLS required upon hire.
• OH RN license with BSN or currently pursuing is required.
• High School Diploma/GED in lieu of degree.
• Clinical education experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Maintains compliance in RQI required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, develops, and coordinates education for staff on equipment, new procedures and identified educational needs using a variety of instructional methods and engaging activities.
• Responsible for new employee orientation classes in conjunction with Education Specialists.
• Develops and validates skills and competence.
• Supports preceptor program education and ongoing support of preceptors.
• Collaborates with leaders to ensure consistency and efficiency of the educational system, including record keeping, class assignments, and course development.
