Qualifications

• Current licensure in Ohio as a Registered Nurse with a BSN or pursuing is required.
• High School Diploma/GED in lieu of degree acceptable.
• Clinical education experience preferred.
• 3+ years of critical care and/or emergency nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Maintains compliance with RQI.

Responsibilities

• Educates staff on new equipment, procedures, and identified learning needs.
• Co-leads EDM documentation training with the Clinical Informatics Educator.
• Oversees ED nursing orientation for new staff and transfers with Nursing leadership.
• Validates skills and competence with Nursing Directors and Managers.
• Creates/updates ED policies, procedures, or order sets.
• Communicates orientee progress to the Clinical Nurse Manager and plans ongoing orientation.
• Performs chart audits to assess regulatory compliance and documentation gaps.
• Teaches specialty courses and available AHA courses.
• Acts as an ED education expert within nursing practice.
