Job summary

Memorial Health System seeks a Critical Care Education Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and evaluate education for the CVICU and Cardiac Cath Lab, supporting onboarding, competency validation, regulatory readiness, and quality improvement. The role partners with nursing leadership, physicians, and education specialists to promote safe, evidence-informed practice.

Ohio RN licensure is required; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Ohio RN licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or relevant field preferred, or currently pursuing.
• Minimum 3 years of critical care CVICU, cath lab, or related critical/procedural nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required or obtained within organizational timeframe.
• CCRN, CSC, CMC, RCIS, or CVRN credentials preferred when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, develops, coordinates, and evaluates education for CVICU and Cath Lab staff.
• Assists in onboarding and orientation for new employees and transfers.
• Validates staff competency for cardiovascular critical care and procedural practice.
• Supports education on hemodynamic monitoring, medication titration, and cath lab workflows.
• Develops and revises policies, procedures, and standard work as needed.
• Teaches department-specific courses and simulation activities.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory standards and recordkeeping.
