Job summary

Valley Hospital Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to perform clinically based concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records. The role aims to ensure appropriate documentation of care, reflect patient severity of illness, and support accurate reimbursement for acute care services.

The candidate should have 5+ years of clinical acute care experience, an active RN license in the practicing state, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Nursing or International Medical Graduate status.
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Current RN license in the state of practice; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically based concurrent and retrospective review of inpatient medical records.
• Evaluate utilization and documentation of acute care services.
• Facilitate accurate physician documentation reflecting severity of illness and risk of mortality.
• Comply with external payer/regulatory review requirements.
