Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with clinical documentation, enabling clinicians to focus on patient care. Scribes observe, document in real time, and assist with next steps in the care journey within a value-based model.

The ideal candidate commits to at least 1 year, demonstrates medical terminology knowledge, strong typing and communication skills, and may be bilingual. In-person clinic work requiring 40–45 hours per week is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering.
• Prior scribe or transcription experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters ~ 80%
• Clinical documentation improvement ~ 10%
• Administrative support for the provider and care team ~ 10%
• Other duties as assigned
