Job summary

Cura-Hospitality at John J. Kane Regional Center - Scott in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team.

You will identify and assess residents' nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and help maintain individuals' nutritional status aligned with their goals. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and dining staff to implement nutrition plans; educate patients, staff, and consultants; and ensure compliance with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination administered by the CDR.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified as required by state.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments and care planning.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
