Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join the healthcare team at Berks Heim Nursing Home in Leesport. The role involves assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and enhancing residents’ quality of life in a full-time, onsite capacity.

You will educate patients and staff, adhere to professional standards, collaborate across departments, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts within a dynamic care environment.

Qualifications

• Passes national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments to set up procedures and policies for dining and nutrition.
• Actively participate in quality improvement programs.
