Qualifications

• Passed the national exam by the CDR or eligible per Academy standards.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulations for assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards and facility requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement nutrition procedures and policies.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
