Job summary

Cura-Hospitality is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join the healthcare team at Berks Heim Nursing Home in Leesport. You will assess nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and enhance quality of life aligned with patient goals.

You will educate staff and residents, adhere to professional standards, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the dining and nutrition program.

Qualifications

• Passed the national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years as per CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining and nutrition.
• Actively participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
