Job summary

AbbVie Data Science in South San Francisco seeks an experienced CDSO lead to drive study-level operations and governance for clinical programs. You will coordinate global teams, anticipate risks, and implement efficiency strategies across trials.

You will bring 3+ years in pharma or healthcare data management, strong leadership, and a track record of influencing stakeholders without direct authority. A Master’s degree is preferred and PMP/Lean Six Sigma is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in business, MIS, CS, life sciences or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
• PMP Certification or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt desired.
• 3+ years pharma/clinical research/data management/healthcare experience or 5+ years project management experience
• Strong understanding of clinical trial process and clinical technology; experience managing a trial preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, influencing skills and communication abilities
• Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Align CDSO study teams with program- and study-level strategies and lead the CDSO Study Team.
• Serve as single point of contact and operational lead from CDSO for assigned studies.
• Coordinate CDSO study teams to meet objectives and engage global teams.
• Use analytics and project management tools to optimize program execution and track progress.
• Ensure adherence to GCPs, regulatory standards and AbbVie SOPs; stay current on policies.
• Coaching and mentoring of Data Science Associates; possibly supervise contract resources.
• Participate in CDSO and cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to study execution lessons learned across functions
