Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Data Science professional to lead operational delivery for Clinical Data Strategy and Operations (CDSO). You will align study teams with program strategies, serve as the CDSO lead, and coordinate global cross-functional inputs to ensure timely, compliant study execution.

Responsibilities include governance, analytics, vendor oversight, coaching, and driving continuous process improvements within a matrix organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in business, MIS, CS, life sciences or equivalent; Masters preferred.
• 8+ years pharma/clinical research/data management/health care experience or 10+ years of project management experience.
• In-depth understanding of clinical trial processes and involved functional stakeholders; lead role is required.
• Cross-functional leadership, ability to influence without direct authority, coaching/mentoring in a matrix environment.
• Proven communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Align CDSO study teams with program- and study-level strategies and governance.
• Act as single point of contact and operational lead from CDSO for assigned programs.
• Coordinate CDSO study teams and engage global cross-functional teams to meet objectives.
• Utilize analytics and project tools to optimize execution and track progress; anticipate issues.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (GCP, ICH, AbbVie SOPs) and participate in inspections/audits.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to team members and oversee training needs.
