Job summary

AbbVie Data Science is seeking a CDSO lead to align study teams with program strategies and to drive operational excellence across clinical trials. You will coordinate global cross-functional teams, manage study timelines, and optimize execution using analytics and project management tools.

The role requires handling regulatory compliance and contributing to process improvements within the Clinical Data Strategy and Operations group. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, computer science, life sciences or equivalent.
• Must have 3+ years of pharma / clinical research / data management / health care experience or 5+ years of project management experience (and/or applicable work experience).
• Strong understanding of clinical trial process and clinical technology. Experience in managing a clinical trial from initiation through to completion is preferred.
• Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated effective analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Aligns CDSO study teams with program- and study-level strategies; leads the CDSO Study Team and represents DS on cross-functional study teams.
• Serves as single point of contact and operational lead from CDSO for assigned studies; coordinates CDSO study teams to meet objectives.
• Engages and connects global functional and cross-functional teams to achieve study goals.
• Uses operational analytics and project management tools to optimize program execution, allocate resources, track progress, and prepare status reports.
• Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements (GCP, ICH, SOPs) and stays informed on evolving local regulations and policies.
