Job summary

AbbVie Data Science is seeking a senior oper­ational lead within Clinical Data Strategy and Operations (CDSO) to align study teams with program-level strategies and governance. The role acts as the CDSO contact, coordinating global teams to meet timelines and quality standards across studies.

Responsibilities include leveraging analytics to optimize execution, ensuring GCP/ICH/AbbVie SOP compliance, mentoring staff, and driving cross-functional innovation within the CDSO.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, CS, or life sciences; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years pharma/clinical research/data management/healthcare experience or 10+ years of project management experience.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, influence without direct authority, coaching in a matrix environment, and excellent communication/analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Aligns CDSO study teams with program- and study-level strategies and governance.
• Acts as single point of contact and operational lead from CDSO for assigned programs.
• Engages global functional and cross-functional teams at program and study levels.
• Uses operational analytics and project management tools to optimize execution and resources.
• Ensures compliance with GCP, ICH guidelines, AbbVie SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentors team members and leads CDSO and cross-functional improvements.
• Identifies training needs and contributes to training solutions for DS roles.
