Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care with basic physical tasks under RN supervision.
• Help patients with activities of daily living and bedside care.
• Safely transport patients and escort for tests and discharge.
• Perform routine phlebotomy and glucose monitoring where allowed.
• Record vital signs and inputs/outputs per policy.
• Provide respiratory support and encourage use of incentive spirometer.
• Report patient status changes to RN promptly.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and basic rehab activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and proper unit operations.
• Answer phones and relay messages promptly.
