Job summary

UW Medicine – Harborview Medical Center in Seattle seeks a Manager of Clinical and Capital Integration to sustain uninterrupted operations during construction and activate new care spaces from the 2020 Bond Program. You will partner with clinical leaders, facilities, IT, and infection prevention to mitigate risk and ensure safe execution of projects.

You will lead contingency planning for outages, coordinate hospital-wide impacts, and guide change management for new technologies and workflows,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in area of clinical expertise.
• 2+ years of progressive inpatient leadership experience.
• Demonstrated management/leadership and program management skills.
• Experience caring for patients in an inpatient hospital environment.
• Experience collaborating with a broad interdisciplinary team.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience working with new technology.
• For managers of clinical areas, is registered, certified, and/or licensed to practice in the state of Washington, as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination of operational planning for construction activities, utility shutdowns, and high-risk projects impacting clinical and support services.
• Develop and maintain contingency plans for planned outages and construction disruptions.
• Partner with Facilities, Engineering, Infection Prevention, IT and clinical leaders to identify operational risks and ensure safe execution of construction activities.
• Coordinate hospital-wide operational impacts including patient flow adjustments and activation planning to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
• Collaborate on communication plans to inform frontline staff and leaders about project impacts and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure contingency plans are validated and continuity of services is maintained for high-acuity patients.
• Monitor readiness during construction and recommend process improvements for resilience and safety.
• Schedule front-line engagement activities related to the bond program design process.
• Coordinate readiness for newly constructed or renovated clinical areas coming online.
• Partner with clinical, operational, and innovation leaders to support change management with new tech and workflows.
