Job summary

Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery in the Greater Richmond Area seeks an Oral & Maxillofacial Clinical Assistant to join a fast-paced, caring team. You will seat and recover patients, prepare treatment rooms, and maintain sterilization and logs while adhering to HIPAA and safety guidelines.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, familiarity with clinical policies, and strong communication and organizational skills. Training programs and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• X-Ray Certification preferred but not required.
• Understanding of sterilization principles.
• Understanding of HIPAA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Seat and recover patients.
• Clean instruments, laboratories, and treatment rooms.
• Stock rooms appropriately.
• Follow all clinical related policies and procedures according to practice standards.
• Complete clinical logs and follow cleaning schedules.
• Complete pharmacy logs according to practice standards.
• Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and practice clinical guidelines.
• Complete day-to-day functions in a proficient manner consistent with practice policies, procedures, and mission statement.
• Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.

What You'll Do:

• Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Practice.
• Clean instruments, laboratories, and treatment rooms.
• Stock rooms appropriately.
• Seat and recover patients.
• Follow all clinical related policies and procedures according to practice standards.
• Complete clinical logs and follow cleaning schedules.
• Complete pharmacy logs according to practice standards.
• Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and practice clinical guidelines.
• Complete day-to-day functions in a proficient manner consistent with practice policies, procedures, and mission statement.
• Other duties as assigned by Office Manager.

What You'll Need:

What It Takes:

• Experience with surgery or oral surgery in a medical or dental practice, preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist with sedated patients.
• Prolonged periods of standing, stretching, lifting, and bending.
