Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for clinical oversight role.
• Thorough knowledge of substance use disorders and detoxification.
• Experience with ASAM criteria and level of care determinations.
• Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission and state licensing regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Knowledge of motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.
• Ability to prioritize during crisis and ensure safety.
• Strong documentation and regulatory compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily workflow of the Assessment Department and patient flow.
• Conducts biopsychosocial assessments and admission recommendations.
• Coordinates admission documents, releases, and records for compliance.
• Provides crisis intervention and risk assessments for intake and detox patients.
• Facilitates communication among providers, nursing, UM, and clinical staff.
• Offers patient orientation and explains program expectations and rights.
• Reviews documentation for quality, timeliness, and compliance.
• Participates in quality improvement and staff education initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
