Job summary

Midwest Center for Youth and Families in Indiana seeks an Assessment Coordinator to oversee intake and the clinical assessment process for individuals entering our residential treatment facility.

This role serves as a critical point of contact between prospective clients, referral sources, families and the clinical team, ensuring each evaluation is thorough, accurate and timely to determine the appropriate level of care and treatment planning.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field (MSW/MA), OR RN with active, unrestricted state license is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical, behavioral health, or psychiatric setting.
  • Prior experience conducting assessments, intakes, or admissions required.
  • Familiarity with level-of-care criteria required.
  • Strong understanding of biopsychosocial assessment methods and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
  • Must be 21 years old

Responsibilities

Midwest Center for Youth and Families is an Assessment Coordinator to join our team!

Available Hours: PRN (as needed), day shift

Midwest Center for Youth and Families (a subsidiary of UHS) has been in operation since 1997, serving youth across the country that are in need of psychiatric treatment for variety of mental health issues. The Midwest Center is a respected healthcare provider, fully accredited, 74-bed private, residential treatment facility with locations in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN.

We are dedicated to care of the hearts and minds of our patients with compassion and superior quality behavioral healthcare services through our full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents ages 10 - 18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges.

The Patriot Support Program at Midwest Center offers specialized treatment designed to address the behavioral health needs and challenges of the children of active-duty military, reserve, and national guard members.
