Job description

The Clinical Advisor's role is to educate clients, brokers, consultants, and internal employees about the organization's approach to managing care delivery. They articulate value using data and make recommendations to help clients meet their corporate goals related to employee health and welfare. The Clinical Advisor serves as a subject matter expert and strategic partner for the Sales team, attending client meetings to review health outcomes and costs.

Essential Functions:
  1. Analyze population health data, financial trends, and market opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts.
  2. Develop business case studies and reports demonstrating the value of care management and wellness programs.
  3. Make strategic recommendations to retain and grow business with key accounts and their brokers/consultants.
  4. Present and demonstrate the value proposition and ROI of solutions to clients and prospects in a consultative manner.
  5. Consult on cost control and quality improvement strategies for employee populations.
  6. Review and analyze member data to highlight the value of care management efforts, identify care gaps, and make program referrals.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams to create and implement sales strategies aligned with clinical goals.
Qualification Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience (additional 4 years).
  • Licenses/Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse with State or Compact Licensure.
  • Experience: 4 years in a clinical setting; 2 years in healthcare data analysis.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Graduate degree (MSN, MBA, MPH), knowledge of health plan sales or account management, experience in a health plan environment.

  • Deep understanding of current trends in care management.
  • Ability to influence at all organizational levels, including executives.
  • Critical thinking, data analysis, and interpretation skills.
  • Project leadership and departmental resourcefulness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Travel Requirements:

Approximately 50% travel within Maryland, DC, and Virginia.
