Panoramic Health in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to blend administrative and clinical duties, including check-in/check-out, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and patient intake.

You will work under the office manager, assist providers with exams, record vitals, manage the electronic health record athenaClinicals, and help with referrals, lab work, and patient education as directed.

Competenze

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CMA certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience with athenaClinicals is preferred.

Mansioni

• Greets patients and completes check-in/check-out procedures, collects co-pays and outstanding balances, prints orders and educational materials, and schedules procedures.
• Answers phone calls, schedules appointments, and maintains clinical inboxes in athenaClinicals.
• Rooms patients and performs full intake including vitals, allergies, medication reconciliation, and vaccination history; records data in athenaClinicals.
• Determine priority level for patient calls and messages; consult with physician/PA/NP and document appropriately.
• Collects specimens and follows CLIA regulations.
• Facilitate referrals to specialty care, imaging or labs; coordinate with staff for lab studies or imaging.
• Call patients with test results or instructions from clinicians.
• Prepare for visits and labs; perform reminder calls for lab work.
• Scan and attach patient records; process incoming faxes and non-electronic results.
• May participate in training other staff; perform other duties as required.
