Job summary

Panoramic Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to handle both administrative and clinical tasks in a physician office setting. You will greet patients, check in/out, collect payments, schedule appointments, and verify insurance while maintaining patient privacy.

You will assist clinicians with exams, document in athenaClinicals, and coordinate referrals, labs, and imaging as ordered. Training and ongoing duties may include staff support.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• AAMA CMA certification or equivalent certification.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• At least 1-year of relevant medical assistant experience in a physician office.
• Broad understanding of clinical operations and physician office practice.
• athenaClinicals electronic health record experience.
• Experience with secure clinical communication and billing applications such as PMD Soft.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and perform Check-in/Check-out procedures accurately and timely.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage clinical inboxes in athenaClinicals.
• Room patients and complete full intake, including vitals and medical history.
• Determine priority for calls and document appropriately with clinicians.
• Collect specimens and follow CLIA regulations.
• Assist with referrals, labs, and imaging as ordered by clinicians.
• Call patients with test results or instructions from clinicians.
• Prepare for visits and manage lab work and reminders.
• Scan and attach records; handle faxes with confidentiality.
• Assist with payments processing and ensure accurate office cash transactions.
• May train other medical support staff or students.
