Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group is seeking a Clinic RN in the Waterloo Heart Care Clinic to deliver outpatient patient care with a focus on safe, evidence-based practice. You will coordinate care with the healthcare team, educate patients and families, and ensure clear communication across services.

The role requires an Active Iowa RN license, BLS certification, and the ability to work in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week with a daytime shift.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Iowa (or compact state) and current BLS certification.
• Experience delivering direct patient care in outpatient settings preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR documentation and care planning in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in outpatient setting with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate care with other clinical staff and support patient education.
• Administer medications and treatments safely across multiple routes and document accordingly.
• Communicate with physicians, staff, patients, and families about care plans and needs.
• Maintain EMR documentation accuracy and participate in quality and performance improvement activities.
