Job summary

MercyOne Iowa Heart Center West Des Moines is hiring a Clinic RN to deliver safe, evidence-based patient care in an outpatient setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinating with the care team to support patient education and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa is required.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows environment).
• Ability to read, write, and understand English and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient patient care and coordinate with healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatments and discharge planning.
• Administer medications and treatments safely via multiple routes.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of assessments, vitals, plans, and education.
• Assist providers with patient care, scheduling, and referrals.
